Celebrating Community Spirit at the Raleigh Infant and Admirals Academies Summer Fête

What an incredible afternoon in Thetford!

On Monday 14th July, I had the pleasure of attending the Raleigh Infant and Admirals Academies Summer Fête, and I left feeling nothing short of inspired by the energy, creativity, and unity of our town.

The event, held on the Admirals Academy playground, brought together families, educators, and local organisations for an unforgettable celebration. From the joyful laughter of children to the tireless enthusiasm of staff and volunteers, it was a shining example of what makes Thetford such a special place.

The fête was packed with fun and excitement. Children climbed aboard a real firetruck, explored a police car, and got creative with balloon figure making. The Thetford Library joined us with wonderful activities, while families enjoyed delicious food and drinks under the summer sun. The grounds buzzed with games, inflatable castles, and countless other attractions that lit up young faces with joy.

Events like this are about more than just entertainment, they build bonds, strengthen our schools, and reflect the deep-rooted community spirit we’re so lucky to have. I am deeply proud of the staff and leadership at Raleigh Infant and Admirals Academies, who work tirelessly year-round to support and inspire our young people. Their dedication was evident in every smile, every activity, and every detail of the fête.

I also want to thank the people of Thetford. Your participation, generosity, and support made the day a true celebration of community. Whether you were helping run a stall, cheering on a sponge game, or simply soaking in the atmosphere, you played a part in making the event a success.
