‘A TRAIL OF PUBS, PLATES AND PURPOSE!’
Join Thetford’s Mayoral Festival: Boudica’s Tap & Table

As the new Thetford Mayor I am launching a year-long celebration of community and connection through a series of exciting events under the banner of “Tap & Table.”
This initiative invites venues and organisations across Thetford to host events throughout the mayoral year to raise funds for my Mayor’s chosen charities. Inspired by Thetford’s most iconic historical figure, Queen Boudica, each event will bring people together to share food, music, games, history, and cultural experiences.

Main Goal
The main goal of Tap & Table is to encourage all groups within the Thetford community to “mix together”, explore new spaces, and meet people they might not otherwise encounter. Whether you’re a long-time local or newly arrived, it’s a chance to break the ice and build connections across our town.

Who can participate?
All pubs, restaurants, cafes, Cinema, clubs, societies, schools and organisations are invited to host an event. This is a chance to welcome new visitors, potential customers, and supporters into your space and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive Thetford.
Community Stamp Trail
To encourage participation, attendees will be able to collect stamps at each event they attend. These stamps will go in a Tap & Table Trail Passport.
At the final celebration on Melford Common at the end of the mayoral year, the individual with the most stamps will receive a prize (to be announced).
Be part of something special. Let’s celebrate Thetford together.
