Carla Barreto Takes Office as Mayor of Thetford: A Personal Message

Thetford, May 14, 2025. Today, I had the incredible honor of officially taking office as the Mayor of Thetford. Standing in the council chambers, surrounded by friends, family, and members of our wonderful community, I felt a deep sense of pride, gratitude, and responsibility.

I want to sincerely thank everyone who came to support me today, and those who have been cheering me on from the very beginning. Your presence, your encouragement, and your belief in me mean more than words can express.

As I step into this role, I carry with me a strong commitment to our town’s future. I look forward to making Thetford proud, to making every woman proud, and to continuing to inspire all those who follow and support my journey. This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to work hard, listen closely, and serve with heart.
